• Analyze orthopaedic morbidity and mortality cases to identify complications, evaluate treatment decisions, and determine opportunities for improved outcomes;
• Apply current evidence-based standards to both operative and nonoperative management across orthopaedic subspecialties; and
• Recognize system-level factors that contribute to complications or mortality and propose potential solutions to improve patient safety and quality of care
