Julie Durand began her nursing career as an Intensive Care Unit RN resident and then staff RN. After graduating from her NP program in 2012 she has practiced as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at JPS Health Network. She currently serves as the Program Director for the Community Psychiatry Fellowship for Advanced Practice Providers with Acclaim Multispecialty Group. She also serves as a Behavioral Health APP Director for Inpatient and Consult-Liaison divisions of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Clinically, she provides psychiatric consultation for medically admitted patients at JPS. She also serves as an Associate Professor at Columbia University in New York and an Associate Professor and Nurse Practitioner Program Coordinator at Texas A&M Texarkana.
