This session will cover topics unique to caring for persons living with dementia across the disease trajectory. Palliative care is appropriate for persons with serious illness, such as dementia, especially as the disease progresses to more advanced stages.
Objectives are:
- Summarize of the primary determinants of health and the approximate proportion of variance in health outcomes attributable to these determinants
- Review known differences in morbidity and mortality from AD/RD between urban and rural communities
- Identify key SDoH thought to be major contributing factors to the geographic health disparities in aging outcomes
- Describe aging though the life course
