Britney Haymond, PA-C, is a clinical preceptor for physician assistant students, with more than 100 students supervised over the course of a career. The work centers on teaching in behavioral and mental health outpatient setting: history-taking and examination, validated screening tools, differential diagnosis, pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment planning, documentation, and professional conduct on an interprofessional team. Teaching is a core part of the practice, not an add-on, with an emphasis on clear, case-based instruction that students can apply the same day in patient care.
