Session Objectives

Upon completion of this activity learners should be able to: 

  • Apply case-based knowledge to improve care for older adults living with dementia to improve safety.
  • Establish a climate of shared values and mutual respect among the interprofessional team to meet the care needs of older adults.
  • Counsel older adults and caregivers regarding safety risks and mitigation strategies for those living with dementia.
