Session Learning Objectives

Those attending this series will receive information that should allow them to:

• Apply validated screening instruments and DSM-5-TR criteria to accurately identify and diagnose depressive disorders in the primary care setting;

• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans for depression in the outpatient setting, incorporating pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic strategies; and

• Evaluate and adjust treatment based on patient response, adverse effects, adherence, and suicide risk to optimize safety and clinical outcomes
