Overview
This program discusses the care of individual patients at JPS and improves orthopedic knowledge through the didactic conference. This conference discusses all patients on all JPS Orthopaedic subspecialty services who have experienced
complications or died during the course of their treatment at JPS. The goal of the conference is to determine the expected incidence of the complication or mortality, any methods that were used or could have been used to reduce the risk of
complications, and whether or not there was any room for improvement in the patient's care. In addition, interactions with other departments and professional services in the hospital are discussed, looking for methods to improve collaboration and outcomes.
