Overview
This program discusses the care of individual patients at JPS and improves orthopedic knowledge through the didactic conference. Faculty members discuss the pros and cons of non-operative and operative treatment options, the risks and benefits of each of the treatment options, the different methods of accomplishing the treatment options, the treatment option that was chosen for that patient, and the outcomes for the care of that patient. The goal of the conference is to improve the understanding of all faculty members of ideal treatment if that can be determined and to improve future care for all patients.
Series Objectives
Upon completion of this activity leaners should be able to:
- Discuss in detail, the complex post-operative fractures seen at JPS to assist in teaching residents and new faculty;
- Determine the newest methods of treatment and rehabilitation for patients with complex post-operative fractures; and
- Identify areas of improvement in the cases presented
