Session Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize common pediatric orthopaedic conditions and differentiate them from normal developmental variations;
  • Apply evidence-based guidelines to operative and nonoperative management of pediatric fractures and musculoskeletal disorders;
  • Identify system-level and family-centered factors that influence care planning, rehabilitation, and outcomes in children; and
  • Evaluate complications unique to pediatric orthopaedics and propose strategies for prevention and management
