Session Learning Objectives

Those attending this session will receive information that should allow them to:

  • Analyze the prevalence of OUD in trauma populations;
  • Describe acute pain management in patients with untreated OUD;
  • Discuss medication-assisted treatment (MAT) while addressing acute traumatic pain; and
  • Initiate appropriate referrals for OUD treatment

The University of North Texas Health Science Center has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria.  This activity is designed for 1 AAPA Category 1 CME Credits.  PA’s should only claim commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Pharmacist

This knowledge-based activity has been assigned UAN JA0004637 and will award 1 contact hour of continuing pharmacy education credit in states that recognized ACPE Providers. 

Statements of participation will indicate hours and CEUs based on participation and will be issued online at the conclusion of the activity. Successful completion includes completing the activity and requesting credit online at the conclusion of the activity. 

Credit will be uploaded to CPE Monitor, and participants may print a statement of credit or transcript from their NABP e-profile. HSC complies with the Accreditation Standards for Continuing Pharmacy Education.
