Overview

By providing Schwartz Rounds, this program promotes compassionate care and improves relationships amongst patients, families, and the healthcare team. Schwartz Rounds is a forum where caregivers from diverse disciplines can come together to discuss difficult emotions and social issues as they arise. Schwartz is held on a virtual platform which allows increased access for all team members across the JPS network to participate.

Series Objectives

Upon completion of this activity leaners should be able to:

• Create a sustainable psychologically safe space for team members;
• Formulate social support for every team member;
• Increase the level of compassion they provide towards patients, their peers, and themselves; and
• Examine individual experiences to create a more cohesive team to eliminate moral distress

Target Audience

This activity is intended for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, certified public health professionals, social workers, physical therapists, and licensed professional counselors.
