Overview

Trauma Talk grand rounds is valuable and necessary to educate healthcare professionals caring for injured patients with the most current and evidence-based practice information to improve patient care. This is monitored by patient outcomes, complication rates, and readmission rates. Topics can be chosen based on trauma QI conference, complication recidivism, or current injury presentations.

Series Objectives

Upon completion of this activity leaners should be able to:

• Discuss the appropriate evidence-base care for all trauma patients;
• Demonstrate through clinical decisions and actions;
• Examine decisions leading to unexpected events;
• Evaluate clinical decisions related to clinical outcomes; and
• Develop new best practice guidelines or research studies

Target Audience

The target audience is primarily comprised of healthcare providers who care for the injured patient.
