Shane Fernando holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Epidemiology from the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Fernando has extensive experience working with diverse populations having lived across three continents in his lifetime. In addition to his epidemeologic training, Dr. Fernando has developed extensive expertise in survey design and validation methods, epidemiologic study designs, and mixed-model analysis. He currently teaches the Survey Research and Questionnaire Design course for MPH and PhD degree-seekers, as well as co-instructor for the TCOM Fundamentals of Behavioral Science courses on research and biostatistics.
