Dr. Richard Young received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. After completing an Internship and Residency in Family Medicine, Dr. Young completed a Fellowship in Faculty Development at the Faculty Development Center in Waco, Texas. Dr. Young is ABFM certified. Dr. Young's publications include numerous peer-reviewed articles, a blog on healthcare economics, and a book titled "American Health$care".
In addition to his appointment as Director of Research and Co-Associate Program Director at the JPS Health Network Family Medicine Residency Program, Dr. Young is also Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine, UT Southwestern Medical School.
Dr. Young recently participated in the CMS Innovation Advisor Program and is currently a member of the CMS Contractor Advisory Committee.
