Jon C. Sivoravong, DO, has over 20 years of clinical practice experience and 20 years of medical education experience teaching medical students and residents at UNTHSC. He is board certified in family medicine by both the AOBFP and ABFM. His leadership position at the UNTHSC includes Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs for the department of Family Medicine, Program director for the UNTHSC/TCOM-Plaza Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program, Medical Director of the UNT Health Seminary Drive family medicine center, Board director and a Medical Director of TIOPA, an IPA that has over 600 active physicians in North Texas. Dr. Sivoravong believes that affordable quality health care should be available for all patients and a is strong advocate for the specialty of Family medicine and osteopathic medicine for the comprehensive approach to patient care. Dr. Sivoravong is active in local, state and national organizations that support Family medicine training. These organizations include AOA, AAFP, ACOFP, STFM and Texas Association of program directors. Dr. Sivoravong's research interest includes Diabetes, Obesity, Hypertension, Coronary artery disease prevention and quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
