Distinguished Lecturer

Dr. Singleton is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon specializing in athletic, sports-related injuries and disorders, with a special focus in the knee. His expertise is in arthroscopic surgery, ligament repair and reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and the treatment of fractures. 

After graduating from Stanford University and the University of Texas Southwestern  Medical School, Dr. Singleton completed his sports medicine fellowship at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail in 1997. In his practice, he worked as an orthopaedic surgeon and team physician with the Texas Rangers Professional Baseball Team, the University of  Texas-Arlington Division I collegiate teams, and Texas Wesleyan University athletic teams.

He has been recognized by the American Society of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine for his cartilage restoration research and advances in microfracture. In addition, Dr. Singleton  has explored the use of the laser doppler in arthroscopic surgery, attempting to better  characterize how tendons heal after different types of repair. Dr. Singleton is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is a diplomat of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a former member of the Fellowship of the American College of Surgeons and of the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
